ELWAVE was honoured to participate in the DGA–DSTA SME Seminar in Singapore, bringing together leading French defence deep-tech companies, Singaporean government agencies, industry leaders and innovation stakeholders.
The event provided a unique opportunity to discuss emerging defence technologies and future collaboration opportunities within one of the world’s most strategically important maritime regions. Located at the heart of major international shipping routes, Singapore faces unique maritime security and infrastructure protection challenges, while operating in one of the most demanding underwater environments for conventional sensing technologies.
The exceptionally dense maritime traffic, high ambient acoustic noise, tropical weather conditions and complex environmental factors can significantly impact the performance of traditional underwater sensing systems. These challenges generated strong interest in ELWAVE’s electric field sensing technologies, which provide a complementary sensing modality capable of operating effectively in environments where acoustic performance may be degraded.
The seminar enabled valuable exchanges with representatives from DSTA, the DGA and members of Singapore’s innovation ecosystem on future applications in maritime domain awareness, critical underwater infrastructure protection and subsea monitoring. The discussions highlighted growing international interest in multi-physics sensing architectures capable of delivering resilient underwater situational awareness in complex operational environments.
